I will be having a back x-ray done (I have 2 rods on my spine and last time I was pregnant, the Dr's wanted to know where the rods were positioned in case I wanted to have an epidural and I couldn't get hold of old x-rays because they had been destroyed. So,before I become pregnant again, I would like to have the x-ray done and I was wondering how long I should wait after I have this x-ray to get pregnant. Does the radiation stay in your system?

I agree with Emily. I'm fairly certain it doesn't stay in your system, just exposure during the x-ray can harm the baby.

i dont think that you have to cause i had exrays done preg. they put this heavy apron on me & said that the baby would not be affected at all that was about 3.5 - 4 years ago.
ask your doc he will tell you
