DARN CATS......

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive May 2004: DARN CATS......

Ok, i have always loved cats but i have never had cats that went ouside before, but here it is impossible since we have no screens and no AC so the windows have to be open, we have thought about trying to do screens but our windows open like doors except they open out..so here is my problem, the stupid cats keep bringing in live and dead animals and its ticking me off! Dead baby birds, live moles and mice, i don't know what to do! I am seriously considering getting rid of them but dd does not want to but i can't stand having to clean up critters all over the place. i know its in their nature but thats why i have always had INSIDE cats. I always hated when neighbors let their cats out to kill our rabbits and birds in our yards and now its mine that are doing it. Any suggestions?????

My kitchen windows open that way and we have screens. Look around and see if you can get some screens.

well we are thought about making some, England just doesn't have screens, why i have no idea cuz of all the stinkin bugs! But so far we haven't been able to find screen material but we are still looking online as well. How do you have your screen with windows opening out? Our windows are about 3 foot tall and 2 foot wide and open out.

look under casement windows.

We bought the replacement screen material and just stapled it around the casement window frames (we have interior casements which are original to the house that open onto a now enclosed heated from porch). We put up the screens to keep our cats out of the porch, but allow for the ac to get in there during the summer.

No screens? That would drive me nuts!
