Movie ticket question

Ok this may be a strange question? Can you buy tickets in advanced at the movie theatre? Im not talking about online, because I know they charge an extra fee.
We plan on going to see Shrek 2 on Sunday. My husband insists I should buy the tickets in advanced. He thinks I should go today? But, will they sell me tickets for Sunday? Does anybody know this?

By Rayanne on Friday, May 21, 2004 - 10:56 am:

Yes you can. We did it for the Matrix when it came out.

Yes, we did this for Titanic and The Lord of The Rings.

Thanks for your quick responses! I will be going today then to buy tickets.

You can but watch out. Some movies that are more popular new realeases do not allow you to use pre-purchased tickets.

It happens all the time to us at our movie theater.

Ok, I bought the tickets! Gosh I hope I have no problem using them. Shrek 2 is playing at 2 theatres at this one place. I got the tickets for the first show of the day on Sunday, which is 10am.. That time is great for us as both my kids are early risers.

Went to see Toy Story and tickets all sold out. We were able to buy tickets for the next show and for sure saw that one. Were supposed to see it with friends. They got in, we didn't! Oh well.
