Class reunion talk
Today it has been 10 years since my graduation, I still can't believe it! Our ten year reunion is the summer and I'm seriously considering NOT going. The main reason is the cost, it's $75 for basically dinner and that's per person. Just a little to steep for me. Did you go to any of your reunions if you've had them? If not did you regret not going?
Yes I went- dreaded it- but had a ball when I got there! Ditto for the - yikes- twenty year reunion. I think I would have regretted not going. I was pleasantly surprised how other people had *changed* if you know what I mean. LOL.
Good lord, I am coming up on my 25th soon! GO!!! You will have a blast.
I wasn't able to go to my 10th (living overseas), but went to my 15th, and had a blast! I didn't really keep in contact with anyone from high school, so it was very interesting to see how everyone "turned out!" Lots of surprises, many not surprising at all. Most of us actually grew up! My 20th is next year, and I can't wait! If you can swing it, I'd go. How many 10-year high school reunions will you have?
I went to my 10th but not to my 20th, the cost was the main reason, by the time dh and I ( same graduating class) were to buy our clothes and the cost of all the fee's, we just could not afford it. One of my friends who did go , said the group of people we hung around with only 1 of them showed up. But she said she did have a good time. I have not regretted not going to it,but in our case most of the people who were our friends still live in the same town, their was only 2 people who I would have liked to see, but did not go in the end anyway. It is one of thoses things you just do not know, who is going to show up, unless you go to grad finder on the internet, and start looking people up and find out if they are going or not. good luck, hope you decide soon, i know what it is like to go back and forth should I go, or should I not?
My 10th is coming up in September. But my brother is getting married the same day so I won't be able to attend reunion. I will definitely make it to the 15 year. I just want to see what everyone is like now. Of course that's just me being nosy. There are only a few people that I'd really want to see.
Yes, I have gone to all of mine and I just had my 20 year one last October. I also dread going each time but, enjoy myself when I get there. My DH's 20th is this fall and he's helping with it. He got held back in first grade so that's why we are a grade apart. His calls only had a 5 and a couple people from his class have had big parties since then so that's why some of them have decided to take it in their own hands and do one.
We went to my dh's, it was free & fun. Ds had just had his 3rd surgery for mine so I skipped it. I didn't mind missing it!
My 10 year reunion fell on my DH Birthday and I decided not to go but to have a big party at my house for DH. I had some friends go and they told me all about it, I don't feel like I missed anything.
I have been to my 10th, my 20th and my 25th. We sit with the same group of people and I have a blast! I wouldn't miss it! They are having them every 5 years and the time just flies between them.
Had absolutely NO desire to go to my 10th or 15th High School reunion but my best friend talked me into attending our 20th. It was fun! I was also pleasantly surprised to see how much people had changed. It was very interesting to say the least. DH reminded me that my college 20th reunion is coming up next year. YIKES! I feel old!
I went to my 10th (the only one we have had so far) and had a blast!! Of course, dh and I were highschool sweethearts so we both knew everyone and a lot of others in my class married a classmate as well. We had a big formal dance/dinner that wasn't very expensive and then the next day we had a picnic at a park and everyone brought their kids. That was so interesting...seeing some people become parents. LOL. I can't wait until my 20th---just 2 more years *gulp*
