My 14 yr-old dd and I just got back from a "Music in the Parks" choir trip to Chicago. It was just Fri-Sun, but it felt like a week! We had a blast, but it was exhausting. I LOVE Chicago every time I go. We stayed downtown at the Hilton, did the Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, Navy Pier, a dinner/dance cruise on the lake, and Six Flags all day Saturday after the competition. (That's where they do the awards.) We even had a little time for shopping at Water Tower Mall! BTW her show choir earned a "superior" rating and won first place in their division! Now I just need to put my house back together. It's amazing what one man and one eleven-year-old boy can do when left alone for three days! LOL

Oh, I *know* what kind of mess can be made. I left my dh for a week, and it looked like something blew up in the house - no kidding!
