No luck yet

I am wondering if we will EVER find a house!
All the new listing that come up are selling
before we even get a chance to look at them!!
We did go look at new townhouse that is being built. VERY nice but the payment with taxes would be 1300 a month. I did all the math and it sure does not leave much left over every month after the mortgage and all the bills are paid. I do NOT
want to end up house poor!! WE are trying to go with the VA loan but its hard because alot of people wont go VA because they know how picky they are about the inspection. I pray we find something soon.

Do you have a real estate agent? Because they should do the leg work for you! Good luck.

Yes we have one. She is very nice.
She sends me new listings everyday and we plan
to go look at them the next day and she calls me back and tells me they sell the very first day.
This is the peek time for buying/selling a home.

The houses you've looked into thus far are were not meant to be. There is a house out there somewhere waiting for you. When the time is right everything will work out. {{{HUGS}}}

Boy, do I know how frustrating it is. We were where you are just two years ago. We'd find a house we liked, call our agent to have him check into it, and he'd call back saying it was either under contract or sold. This went on for two months and we were begining to think this agent wasn't worth it. Then he called me on a Friday afternoon and said "We're going to look at a couple houses tonight." I told him Dh wasn't home from work yet and I still had a day care child, and we were supposed to be going to that area the next day anyway. He insisted we needed to go that night so I called dh to come home early, called the day care parent to pick her son up early (or late is she just wanted me to take him with us--she was done anyway so she picked him up) and we met him at the sales office for the builder. We looked at two homes that the builder had dropped the price on just a couple hours before and we bought one of them that night. It's a good thing, too, because the sales person said about a dozen people came out the next morning (when we were supposed to look) to look at our house and she had to tell them, "Sorry, it's under contract!" lol We ended up getting a GREAT deal on our house, and we love it here. The right house is out there for you. You will find it. :) Good luck and {{{{{Hugs}}}}}.

I agree. It might take some time, but when it's right, it *will* happen. We are closing on our very first house this Friday and before we had seen it, I was so discouraged by everything else we saw. I immediately fell in love with the house and had to have it. There was even another offer put in, but ours was the one accepted. I never dreamed in my life that I would have my very own house. :)

Well you all have made me feel better
about this! I know it takes time. I was really hoping we would be able to move before the next
school season starts. My son is so upset about moving. I told him we may have to move while he is in school next school year and that he will be ok no matter where we go. he is a good kid and makes friends so easy. I know its scary for him.
This is all he has known for 5 years. Thanks for your kind words.
