What do you eat for lunch?
I am so sick of ham and cheese sandwiches, or roast beef sandwiches, i just needs some ideas of what else to have!
I'm on a Boca burger kick. On a whole wheat bun! Loaded up with veggies. I usually make up batches of soup and freeze them. So, soup is easy and good! Today I splurged on a Lean Cuisine 4 cheese pizza. Quesadilla's with chicken (Andi's crock pot recipe) and cheese. Taco salad (W/ Andi's chicken again)
We keep bagged salad in the house. I like to buy the greener selection, or the italian blend. I'm not a big fan of plain iceberg lettuce for salad. There are so many different low fat dressings out there that the salad can taste different every time you eat it! I eat salad quite a bit for lunch. I make a pasta salad that I eat for lunch as well.
I am bad about not eating lunch, tend to eat breakfast late. But, when I do..soups, leftovers from dinner, or one of my favorites is tuna with grape tomatoes, cucumbers sprinkled with white wine vinegar. This is a yummy too.. lb. curly pasta (forget the name! ) grape tomatoes feta cheese 1 can sliced or diced olives 1 small summer sausage dressing: 1 TB balsamic vinegar pinch salt 1/2 cup olive oil 1/4 cup red wine vinegar or use fresh mozzarello, fresh basil and grilled chicken
we like hot pockets too. I know how you feel though, lunch is difficult for me too, i get tired of stuff pretty easy. And then you don't want to cook a big meal! I am back on my diet so its fruits and veggies for me for lunch!
boca burgers, a gobbler - turkey, cran. sauce and a small bit of stuffing on whole wheat, or baby spinach, provolone, pesto, tomatoes, artichoke hearts and roasted peppers on whole wheat. Sometimes I have salad w/sliced, grilled chicken on top.
We have tuna salad(with green olives), a lot of salad. We tend to go through phases. I always dread lunchtime because I know it's going to be something boring.
I love leftovers for lunch! Especially casseroles. Yum! Other than that, usually soup and sandwiches, salad, mac and cheese, etc..
I eat the lunch size servings of Weight Watchers or Healthy Choice meal. I also love Boca burgers on wheat bread with Heinz Chili Sauce and lots of veggies. Sometimes I have ham and cheese sandwiches or soup.
i'm not much help today. i had mint chocolate chip ice cream for lunch
I cheat I eat Lean Cruisine. Or a salad.
i had saltines for lunch today. i know i know...thats terrible. i don't know why but i just hate making a fuss over eating something "nutritionally sound" so i just eat whatever is quick.
I always have tortillas in the freezer. Then I throw in leftover veggies from the night before..or rice and beans and cheese... Leftover stuff from dinner....scrambled eggs...toast with cheese melted on it...lots of pasta.... Today I ate 2 steamed artichokes with garlic butter.... fiona
I had cold whole wheat pasta salad with steamed broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, tomato sauce and olives. When it was dressed with a touch of olive oil and balsamic vinegar, it was really yummy. I bought the pasta to serve for dinner, but it was gross hot with sauce, so I put in it the fridge and made regular for dinner. It was yummy cold and very high in protein - 28 grams for 20z. I'm glad it was good cold, because it was expensive, and I would have hated to throw it away! Ame
I usually have a sandwich with soup. I love sandwiches. Sometimes a cheese quesadilla or salad with boiled egg and tuna.
Well, since I'm on the slim fast diet I always have to drink my lunch! Or one of the meal bars. Not much help here...sorry.
I eat a Slim Fast bar for lunch everyday. 4 pts. on WW.
I usually have leftovers and cook with the idea of lunch the next day in mind. Sometimes sandwiches, soups, or salads though. I ALWAYS eat lunch!
