.bro file?
I'm still fighting with Webkinz for the codes to my dks toys. They sent me an email with no text in it but an attachment that is a .bro file. I have no idea how to open it but I'm hoping it contains a new code for each child. Does anyone know what I should use to open these attachments? TIA
Maybe try notepad, to see if there is text in it? Even files that really aren't a text file, can sometimes open up and show you code, in a text program.
If you haven't tried this yet, go to the webkinz site page where you click to login (the page that comes up when you first go to the website.) Toward the bottom right of the page there is a BULLETINZ section where there is a clickable link that says "recent technical issues. please read" That might give you some answers. If you've already done that, sorry for the repeat. Good luck!!
This is another fix I found. Not sure if this is the problem you're having but here is the advice anyways: Having trouble adopting your new pet because the security letters aren't show? "Go back a page, enter the secret pet code again, and press next and the letters should be there. You may have to do it a few times."
Thank you, Dawn! I was able to open the attachment in Notepad. Unfortunately, it tells me that my accounts are now active but it's been two weeks and my dd can't remember the user name she chose. I'm working on all her usuals but this is really starting to tick me off! Thanks so much, Livvy. We did have trouble getting the letters to show up but we're stubborn enough to have figured it out on our own. My dks' brand new codes were coming up as being in the system already.
You're welcome!
I would suggest for this that maybe you should write your dds username and password down if she ever figures it out.. I have things like that in a file on my pc so my dd doesn't lose her 19 webkins... I guess that is all she asked anyone for at Christmas because her dad's side of the family gave her 10 of them. I also put all the activation codes in that file too. I know it seems not very secure but i actually password protected that file with one of my passwords that I won't ever forget. Good luck. I have been there.
I actually keep a notebook next to my computer and hand write all that stuff as I register. If I ever had to hunt something it might take awhile, but it would be there. I had a virus and lost everything on my computer, so I have learned it is important to have back up copies of stuff.
We did write everything down but when the codes weren't working, we thought we'd have to re-register the animals, codes, etc. You have to understand that we didn't even get through the registration process before it was telling us that the codes were unusuable and kicking us off the site. All the rest of the kids' usernames and passwords are all written down.
