Favorite Brand of Towels?

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive April 2004: Favorite Brand of Towels?
By Mommyduncan on Sunday, April 25, 2004 - 11:32 am:

After folding towels this morning, I have decided that it is time to buy some new towels! We have been married almost 11 years and I have bought very few new towels in that 11 years, most of the one we have are the ones that were given as wedding gifts........

SO what is your favorite type brand towel? Who sells the best-quality-for-your-money-towel?

By Mommyathome on Sunday, April 25, 2004 - 11:40 am:

We *love* the JCPenney Masterpiece Supima towels. They are to die for :) We originally bought these as "display towels" that wouldn't be used. But, one day I snuck one and used it....oh my! I loved it. I immediately bought 2 more to actually use. They are a little pricey, so we've just been buying a couple at a time. We have 8 or 9 now. It is so worth the money IMO. I never knew towels could be so good LOL They wash and dry nicely too.

In towels, you pretty much get what you pay for. I always look at thread count and ounces. The thicked, denser, longer threads will last longer. I like getting them monogrammed, too.

It's one of the things I will pay for because they last longer. In the long run, it ends up being cheaper if you don't buy towels for 20 years instead of every 5 years.

Charisma towels. I got them new on ebay for about $10 a piece. I remember paying alot more for then at Macys.

I also like the waffle like towels at linens and things. (For hair)

I also love the JCPenney Masterpiece Supimas! They are so worth the money. I am the Target queen so the kids have some of their higher end towels but my dh and I will fight over the last Supima if I haven't done laundry in a couple of days. lol

LOL Tink...my DH and I do the same thing. If we are running low on the "good towels", it's a race to the shower!

Here's a link to the Supimas! Hopefully it works :)

I buy on impulse....Hechts....Dillards....Penneys....Big Lots.....Marshalls....Tuesday Morning. I buy what feels soft, thick, fluffy and goes with our bathroom decor.

We buy our towels at Sam's Club. Whatever brand that is? I cant remember.

By Amecmom on Monday, April 26, 2004 - 08:41 am:

Royal Velvet by Fieldcrest. I have two set that we've used for 5 years now, and they still look and feel as good as they did when we got them. They were a bridal shower gift, so I don't know where they were purchased, but my guess is Macy's.

We have a towels and shower curtain factory near our home Kartri sales they make shower curtains and towels for big chain hotels and motels. A few times a year they open a store up to sell there towels and I get mine there all they time. They are good quality and priced good. They last forever!
