HELP! My hair is falling out...AGAIN!
Perhaps I can get some suggestions from some of you. My hair falls out about 3 months after I have a baby. I just had my 3rd and here we go again. It is getting thinner and thinnner. It's probably a hormone thing, but did this happen to any of you and what did you do? Thanks!
It happened to me after each child. My dr said it is our hormones. And then they start growing back really funny (for me anyway). I didn't have bangs before I had my son 10 months ago and now I do from the hair growing back. Now, they've softened a bit but about 2 months ago, because it was new hair, it was sticking straight up! I didn't do anything about it. I just let it grow. I saw a photo of me taken a few months after my 1st child. I had my hair pulled back in a ponytail. At the time the photo was taken, I didn't realize my hair was falling out. It looked like I had a receding (is that how you spell it?) hairline. Pretty scary...
It has happened to me after all 3 baby's as well. Also, I'm losing hair now. I really notice it in the shower. It happens every time I have major stressful stuff going on in life. Once I get through the middle of June, I should stop losing it LOL. Counting down the days! I don't know if there is any cure for it. Mine has never gotten bad enough that it's noticeable.
It is hormonal. Mine went from thick to very thin and from curly to straighter. Get a supplement called Hair Skin and Nails. It has silica and gelatin and other minerals your body needs to maintain healthy hair. It helped a little. Only time will really help. Now I'm on the other side of the coin, my hair has never looked this good. I told my husband to enjoy it now, because after our daughter is born, it's going to be stringy city. Ame
Thank you for bringing this up. I am losing my hair as well & was stressing out that my Synthriod levels were off yet again! I will have to have them checked, but now I am confident its just post pregnancy. I have always loved my nails & hair when pregnant!
Ditto on the hair and nails during pregnancy! My skin, too! My hair always fell out and I hated it but it wasn't that noticeable to anyone but me. I cut about 2 inches off so that it would look a little more full. There are some really good volumizing hair products out now. And, as with most things, time is the only thing that really helps.
I started to experience that a couple months back. My hair is still falling out but also growing back in some places. I thought I would go bald. I think a few of the girls on this board remember my posts. I felt better when I saw a female doctor. She told me she almost lost ALL of her hair. It has grown back. I am sure are hair will grow back too. It is a slooooow process, I am told, for some of us anyway.
