We had such a wonderful time ...

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive April 2004: We had such a wonderful time ...
By Amecmom on Sunday, April 18, 2004 - 08:44 am:

Last night, my husband and I attended a dinner at the same place in which our wedding reception was held. The dinner was in the same room as our reception. We will be married 5 years next week. I had the DJ play our wedding song and we danced to it on the same dance floor where 5 years earlier we had first danced as husband and wife. It was so sweet!
It was funny, that I had the song running through my head, but could not remember the title! My husband finally remembered (Truly, Madly, Deeply by Savage Garden).
It was also the first time in a while (two years) that we'd gone out and really enjoyed a formal event without worrying about our son, who was home with my parents. Since our second is due in September, who knows how long it will be until the next.
Thanks for letting me share.

Kenna,
Make it a special place! Get dressed up! Do your nails - the whole works. That's what I did for yesterday and it was worth it. I'm 5 months pregnant and have been feeling like a house. It was so wonderful to get out and feel like a woman (not a mommy or preggo). Luckily, I'm carrying small, so I could still wear one of my favorite evening dresses, that helped a lot.
Enjoy your night out - and don't waste it worrying about the kids - have fun!
