Washington, DC
We are looking at doing a family trip this summer centered around the DC area. I know about the museums and monuments. Any suggestions for off the beaten path stuff to see. There will be 20 people total, 8 children ranging in age from 5-12. We will be there 4-5 days.
Definitely go to the Washington zoo. It's definitely better than the Baltimore Zoo. Very big and lots of fun for children.
Here are just a sample of the things you can see and do in DC. Have a ball, but always carry water and have good shoes. It will be hot and humid. The DC Duck Tours! Ghost Tour in Old Town Alexandria Call your State representative or Senator and arrange a White House Tour. That's the only way to get in now.
