Anyone drive a truck?
We are considering buying the following truck: http://www.canadatrader.com/trader/result/affich.asp?rubno=4100&r=%27EDM%27&ste=&sid=&issr=1&yfr=2002&yto=2002&kfr=0&kto=0&pfr=0&pto=0&dm=1&dp=4&mk=FORD&md=F%2D150&kw=supercrew&rc=&or=0&oby=7&pg=1&vid=9050172
Nice truck!
Check out what Consumer Reports has to say. They have lists of Recommended and Used cars to avoid. Also check their reliability ratings.
I don't, but I agree with Trina about Consumer Reports. Also check out http://www.edmunds.com for great info on buying a vehicle. *picking my mouth up off the floor from truck prices in Canada*
Pam, are the prices better or worse in the US?
Much better! A can't imagine paying almost $30,000 for a used truck...or even a used BMW. I don't know a lot about trucks, so I can't give you a typical price but I know it would be less than that.
Here's the other truck we are looking at: http://www.canadatrader.com/trader/result/affich.asp?rubno=4100&r=%27EDM%27&ste=&sid=&issr=1&yfr=2003&yto=2003&kfr=0&kto=0&pfr=0&pto=0&dm=1&dp=4&mk=DODGE&md=RAM+2500&kw=&rc=&or=0&oby=7&pg=1&vid=7437783 Pam, don't forget that 30000 CAD works out to be about 22500 USD
I wouldn't go with a dodge. My husband has one and it has given him a lot of problems. He has a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 4 door extended bed. I feel safe in it and it drives great, but it has seen the shop a lot.
