This stinks
My youngest has been sick all day and we are supposed to go to my SIL's tomorrow for the annual Easter egg hunt. She lives 45 mintues away and I was going to take the kids by myself (DH has to work.) I called her today to let her know I may not be coming and she said I could bring him anyway. She emphasized to me that she wasn't concerned with him spreading it to her kids (there are germs everywhere, so she tells me ). We haven't seen each other since Christmas and I know she wants to see us and I'd like to see them. I wasn't crazy about the idea of taking 5 kids by myself, but the kids were looking forward to it and I am bringing a dish. I do not want to take a sick child, though. It may not matter to her, but it does to me. I have been vomited on twice today - I don't want to be so far from home if he gets sick again! I'm going to see how tonight goes and how he's feeling in the morning.
I agree with you, Sunny. A cold is one thing but a stomach virus is another. NOT fun, especially for the sick child. I would also wait and see how tonight goes and how your wee one is doing in the morning. {{{HUGS}}} *~*~HEALTHY VIBES~*~* coming your way!
Poor Guy! I agree with Trina wait and see how he feels in the morning.
Sunny, Just wanted to say I really hope ds recovers very soon. Best wishes to you all!
Sunny, Keep your hopes up! Most stomach bugs last only 24 hours or so. He may be feeling better by tomorrow. If not, then I agree with the others, don't go. With 5 of your own, you could have a great Easter egg hunt at home. Make plans to see your SIL next week and suggest another hunt. It might be fun and the kids won't mind (after all, it's still Easter). You could use the little plastic eggs. Sending prayers and good wishes that your son is better soon ... Ame
Poor little guy. I hope he's feeling better soon (Like tomorrow morning!). Hugs to you all.
Yup...hopefully he will be feeling better(in my experiences with stomach bugs-they usually go away pretty quickly.... Nice of your SIL to not care about the germs...I don't mind kids with colds coming to my house, but I would be leery of stomach bugs....mainly because vomiting children make ME want to vomit..... Happy Easter.... fiona
I hope by morning, he is feeling great, and you can all enjoy a wonderful Easter with your SIL and family. I'm sending up a little prayer. Fingers, toes and eyes are crossed also.
Very cute Bea!!!! LOL
I hope he's better by morning! If he's not I wouldn't put him in the car. I still remember being a sick child and my mother making me go to my aunts house.
Thanks everyone. He stopped vomiting last night and woke up feeling a little better. I did take him to the hunt, but he started feeling warm, so I didn't stay very long. I hope this passes soon.
Okay, what is this?? I wasn't throwing up, but it was coming out like water out the other end, along with a low-grade fever. Finally asked hubby to go to the store for me and he got some Immodium AD. Stopped it right in its tracks! I couldn't believe it. So, the resurrection cookies didn't happen. Also, no fancy Easter meal today, since I couldn't get to the store yesterday. Oh well. I still had a fever this morning, so I stayed home from church as well. Now, I'm feeling better though.
