Is this legal for Purse Parties
I have a question.? What about replicas. They do not have labels on them. They look like the LV, Prada, etc. They do not have the label or even the LV on the purses anywhere. Are these illegal? The reason I ask is that I liked a purse I saw and it looked like one of these real ones but was not, No LV on it and no label. Also a purse looked like Prada. I believed they are calling them inspired. I dont want to support Terrisom so is this one illegal? I would like to do these home parties but not illegally. Crystal

I believe knock offs are legal as long as they don't sport the name of the designer. I read the discussion that trina posted and got the same idea. But as far as supportinig terrorists that is something altogether different. I would do a little research to find out exactly where this stuff is coming from. I have been reading alot of articles lately about things we purchase with our credit card online supporting terrorists. Not purses specifically yet but it has me wondering about alot of things now so i am gonna be trying to find more info myself. I don't care how much cheaper something is, i would rather pay double for something legit than half price and support terrorism!
Knockoffs which have the name, logo or other distinctive trademark or "trade dress" of the item (trade dress is a legal term) are illegal. People get arrested for selling knockoffs at purse parties, and in at least one state the guests at the party were also arrested. I don't know if the proceeds would support terrorists or not, but almost every illegal activity has some involvement at some point with a larger illegal organization (i.e., the mob) and profits would support other illegal activities.
