HI, my name is Paula and I'm addicted to....
Guitar Hero! Honestly, how am I going to go to work on Monday...it will totally interfere with band practice! I am really enjoying our new Christmas gift. Is anyone else as addicted as I am?
We got the GH 1 when it first came out. Now we have 2 and 3. We all love it.
I couldn't find one anywhere here locally so i ordered it from Fingerhut it is on back order till 2 February. "But" my ds had a blast playing his friends hero and I was on pins and needles watching him play it!!!! It's fun!
I've never played it, but Sarah has, and she thought it was fun.
ROFLMBO!
I got kicked out of the band more than once, so they helped me kick the addiction!
My 12 year old dd loves this game. My Dh had some friends over last week and one by one she kicked their butts. They were on easy and she was on medium! Too funny to watch!!
I bought the two guitar set for hubby. He and the kids play it non-stop.
I love Guitar Hero! On GH I & II I was getting really good at the medium level, but was having a hard time jumping to the hard level. (That darn orange key!) Now on GH III, the levels seem harder, so I'm back to trying to master medium. DH and the kids have passed me up, so it's not as much fun for me anymore, lol.
I am only on easy. My two children play it quite different. DS (8) plays the fret bars with his thumb on top and moves his thumb across to get it. DD(11) plays it the opposite of what you would think for a right handed child. She wanted to use her right hand for the fret bars so has flipped it around. She does very well considering the notes are shown on the tv to have the fret bars on the left side. I stayed up til 2am playing last night!
LOL - am I the only uncoordinated Mom? DS loves Guitar Hero and does really awesome with it, but I have no coordination whatsoever, and I can't hit the notes in time. Just when I think I've got it, the next set of notes has already flown by!!
We do not have it, and I'm not exactly sure what it is. Is it like DDR but with a guitar?
My oldest ds got Guitar Heros III, and 2 guitars for Christmas. It was one of the only things he asked for. He has obviously been playing a lot at the neighbors because he is just awesome at it. Now, I tend to get boo'd off the stage. LOL. I am definitely not addicted to it. But, I am VERY addicted to WII bowling. I was up practicing yesterday when the kids went over to the neighbors!
What is Guitar Heros?
It's a game for the PS2 or XBox. I'm not sure if it's on the Wii or not. You watch the screen and try to use a guitar to hit the notes by pushing buttons. You can earn money to buy new outfits and new characters. It's lots of fun and some of the songs are from my time (Pat Benetar-Hit me with your best shot)
Paula, we have it for wii and you can do a left handed switch so the colors will show up on the same side she is playing on, it's on set up. My ds who is right handed but bats lefty and shoots lefty in soccer plays the "notes" with his right hand and does the exact same thing on the strum bar, so one finger at a time, we think he's gifted at GHIII lol I've been doing the boxing for a "work out"!
We had Guitar Hero II and loved it. Then my Mom got Bradley Rock Band...and um, I get to be SINGER alot. LOL I am a terrible singer, but it is so much fun!!! And all 4 of us have an instrument to play (drums, bass, guitar and singer). LOVE it! Mema did good. Glad you are enjoying it!
LOL, Conni. Our neighbor got Rock Band for Christmas, and now my ds wants that for his birthday.
Rock band is coming out for the ps2, if it's not already out, and I will be getting that for the kids.
We have it for Wii. Dh and ds spent many hours before dh left trying to beat the game. They did on easy. I'm not that coordinated, lol.
Honestly, I'm too uncoordinated to even try it out. I found it for the wii in time for Christmas and my dks and dh have played it every day since then and it was a hit at our New Year's Eve party but I haven't even tried. Maybe I'll try it out some day when no one else is around!
