Help with thank you
I serve on the Foundation for my boys school. We recently did a letter campaign to raise funds. Three students (ages 6, 6 and 8) ran a lemonade stand and donated the money to the foundation. I want to send thank you notes to the boys that is professional enough that they know how important what they did was, but still fun and something they would enjoy. Does that make sense? Any thoughts?
What about typing up a letter on some sort of letterhead from the foundation. If there is no letterhead, then I would just type up a letter and make it look very professional. Then, you could include some sort of certificate of thanks. (Either buy one or make it) Or maybe a gift certificate for an ice cream cone. Then, it might encourage them to do something else!
I do have the letterhead. (I do all the thank you's since I keep track of the data base.) I think a certificate of some kind is a great idea. Hmmmm, I think I will try to find something with that. Otherwise, any idea on the wording to use for a letter? I tried to sit down and think of what to write and just hit a block. Thanks for the idea!
Maybe even make a special poster at school with their pictures on it saying super fund raisers! Maybe then more kids will do that too so they get their pictures up!
On behalf of your school and the foundation we would like to thank you for all of your time and effort. It is very important to have special kids doing such hard work to help support the fund raisers. Your donation has helped alot in reaching our goals!
I was wondering about doing something for other kids to see, Kenna. Thank you for that thought. In a couple months we will be putting something in our community newsletter about how we did on our goal and I think we should highlight how these three kids contributed. I agree that having something at the school would be pretty cool for them. You are right-it may inspire other kids to do something as well! Thank you for your suggestions!
I would make the wording something which they will be able to understand. The foundation would like to thank you (name) for all the hard work you did running the lemonade stand and giving the money you made to help us. You are a very good neighbor. -Something like that. A certificate of recognition and a gift certificate for an ice cream are also good ideas, as well as the community recognition you already spoke of. I think what the boys did is wonderful, and so are you for your work and for wanting to recognize them and their achievement. Ame
I love Kennas idea.
