DH and I went out and bought me a new (well.... used but new to me) car. It is a 2001 Saturn L300. With all the safety features Saturn puts into its vehicles, I came out very impressed. I feel extremely comfortable and safe.

Then we bought Kaitlyn a Britax Roundabout, another extremely safe and reliable carseat on the market.

I'm just so happy because before I was driving DHs Nissan Sentra Se-R Spec-V which is made more for racing than anything else and DD was in a Graco carseat which I never felt she was fastened in safe enough.

I'm just ecstatic.... new car, new carseat. Though with the $$$ we spend I dont expect anything for quite a while.

Must be the time to buy new cars and new car seats. We just bought a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am GT and I am loving it. Its black my favorite with any car. Now tomorrow I am going to get DD a new car seat.
Best of luck with your new car and I know we won't be buying anything major in a while. But thats ok the car is fine for me!

Good for you! I saw a young (2-3yo) sitting in the middle of the front seat this morning!!! No car seat that I could see. Made me mad!

Cool! It's always fun to get new stuff, isn't it?! Yes, Britax seats are my favorite but Graco makes nice seats, too. It very well could have been an incompatibility issue in the Nissan. I know you'll be happy with your Roundabout. How does it fit in your Saturn?

We have two (one for my car and one for DH's)of the Britax Roundabout seats, It's the only thing we have ever used and I will never use anything else. DS loves them because the fabric is so soft and I love them because I know how safe they are.

Well I guess I did use the Graco infant seat when DS was born and I will use it again when DD is born this summer but at about 3 months she will go into the Roundabout.
