We were supposed to be at Disneyland today but we found out on Thursday that dh was not going to get any time off after being in the field for the last 2 weeks. Infact, he would be returning to the field until the 13th . So he got off work at 330 yesterday, we scrambled to make a "Easter Dinner" and dye eggs. We called EB and he came last night/this a.m. instead. Dh just went back to the field about an hour ago . They say he will have the 15-18 off to make up for Easter. We will see. If that is the case we will go to Disneyland on the 16th and possibly California Adventure the 17th Dh told me that he is putting in for us to return to Okinawa when he gets back from Iraq. Not sure how to feel about that one!

I'm sorry your plans didn't work out quite the way you expected them too. I hope dh is able to have the time off to go to Disneyland. We had a blast at California Adventure last year as a matter of fact the kids liked it better than Disneyland.

He leaves the end of August early September, he will be in and out of the field like this until he goes. They are supposed to be back in Feb/March 2005. I am sad that he will be missing my birthday, ds birthday, our anniversary, Halloween, dd birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and possibly Valentines Day but, atleast they are all with in a couple weeks of each other so I should stay pretty busy with that, sending care packages, my weight watchers and the KV program. Hopefully time will pass quickly.

I am in amazement of the sacrifices that our military families make to serve, it must be really difficult at times. I certainly have a lot of respect for you and your family.

Thank you for letting me whine. Sometimes its really hard to be a military wife and even harder when the kids are involved. I know what I signed up for when I said I do and usually it isn't that bad. This last year and a half has been extremly hard and will only get harder within the next year. There is a light at the end of this tunnel I know, its just getting there thats the trouble.
