DH and I took DS (he's 4) to see Monster Jam tonight -- it was AWESOME! I didn't think I would get so hyped up about monster trucks, but they're pretty cool -- and LOUD!!!! We took ear plugs and even with them in it was pretty loud. DS is asking if we can go again -- we told him if they come back next year we'd take him. It was nice to see DS get into it a little more -- we've taken him to see the Wiggles and he sat there with his hands over his ears claiming the Wiggles were too loud - he did like it though. We also took him to see Disney On Ice Toy Story 2 --- he liked it, but with both the Wiggles and Toy Story he sat with no expression on his face, just taking things in. Whereas tonight -- we bought him a flag as we were going into the show and he waved that flag constantly, he even cheered and clapped. They were throwing free t-shirts to the crowd and DS tried so hard to get one, unfortunately none came our way. No matter what DS had a good time and it was a nice family outing.

As soon as we got home and put DS to bed, I came on the computer and started searching and reading about the Monster Trucks -- DH made a comment when he came into the room about "oh no, now you're going to become a Monster Truck roady" -- I wouldn't go that far, but I will take more of an interest in it.

They had Motocross guys also, doing jumps and stunts -- they were pretty good also. I'll be taking an interest in that sport also if I see it on tv or something.

It's nice to experience new things with your children! I've never been to one, but wouldn't it be neat to drive one of those? LOL;)

It sounds like you had a great time. My dh took my oldest ds to see the Monster Jam when he was around 3. He loved it!!!!! My dh said he couldn't believe how excited he was. Ds is 6 now and still talks about it. He thinks Gravedigger is the best.

Sounds like you had great time, I haven't seen a Monster Truck show in years but I remember when I was little I loved to watch them on TV. I think I'll look into taking my ds, I think he would like it.
