Easter Baskets ?
I hate the fake grass used for Easter baskets. It gets everywhere and I refuse to use it. Besides, the cat would probably ingest it and I really don't want to have to worry about that. What else can I use? What do you use?
I don't use any grass. You can buy shredded paper that is green. Almost like crepe paper.
Try just crumpling up green tissue paper.
I use green tissue paper. Ame
Funny, Cat - I guess we're on the same wavelength.
We use the grass that is more like paper. Not the cheapy Easter grass. The paper grass is much easier to clean up and looks a lot nice IMO Tissue paper would work too!
We use the green paper grass as well. It does cost a little more but it looks much nicer and it's much easier to clean up and store.
You still have time to use real grass. I did this one year and it was adorable, Put dirt in the bottom of the basket, sprinkle with grass seed, and water it should come up in 3-5 days and be nice by easter. I also like the paper grace that Robin mentioned. The plastic is like the needles from a christmas tree, you are still finding it 6 months from now.
I still use the plastic grass -- I don't mind it and it seems like a tradition to use it.
I've never seen the tissue paper, but I'm going to look for it next time I'm in the store. Thanks.
Sunny, you might want to look by the giftwrap stuff.
