I feel lousy (bad cold, aches, etc) and because I'd taken yesterday off work, I thought I should drag my carcass in today (so as to avoid using up all my sick days on something as "mild" as a cold). I am sitting here, sipping my echinacea tea, staring in a cold-medicine-induced stupor out the window at the rain, wishing I was at home, doing the same, but in my kitchen and in my slippers. Boo hoo, poor pitiful me!

Janet I can relate. I've had a cold for 2 weeks now. It was almost gone and then I ended up with a sinus infection and fever. Went to the MD yesterday and am on antibiotics and a super strong decongestant (kept me up wired until 2:30 a.m.) I called in sick today and it was supposed to be my annual review at work---when I get my bonus $$ which we need since DH's car died last week and we are going car shopping. I am home in my pjs (alone!) and starving b/c I don't feel like fixing myself some lunch. How pathetic is that?

At any rate, I worked for 2 weeks feeling like you do and think that's why I never got better. Take it easy. Colds are the worst aren't they? {{{Janet}}}

Karen...UGH!!! (LOL) I went home for lunch, downed some chicken noodle soup, threw a slow-cook casserole thing in the oven, took some drugs, and conked out with the cat for 15 min. Now I'm back at work, and counting the time 'till I can go home (only 71 min. to go)! Pam...eat a bowl of cereal, girl!
