Well I felt better when I left the office. They had the results from the Triple Screen bloodtest I had last week. This is actually an optional tests. I cant remember the numbers but it came out good, no indications of being a down sydrome baby. Actually I have 1 in 317 chance of this happening, strictly due to my age.
Basically the ultrasound went well, everything measured correctly and on target. Then the dr came in, he assured me of the u/s told me the same thing. He did say that because I was only 17 weeks pregnant, they could not see all of the heart chambers. He assured me, that they didnt say anything abnormal, just couldnt see all of the heart due to me not being that far along. He said they like these detailed ultrasounds between 18-20 weeks along. He asked if I wanted to come back in 3 weeks for another detailed ultrasound, and I said YES! Of course anything to get a peek of my baby.
And, the u/s tech and the dr both looked and said, they are pretty sure its a girl.
Her name will Be Faith Lauren.
Faith is a name I never really gave much thought too. But, after losing 4 pregnancies, it seemed to fit now. I figured Faith has what got me through to this point.

Faith is a lovely name. I went through the exact same thing, they could not see all the heart chambers either. Went back at 21 weeks for another ultrasound, everything was just fine. I can almost feel your relief.
