Gift Ideas for 1 yr old girl
My niece is turning 1 this month and I need ideas for what to give her. They live in a VERY tiny house we're talking their entire home is the size of my diningroom, kitchen and family room and they don't have room for one more toy. She also has a sister a year older than she is so she doesn't really need clothes. Any suggestions?
How about giving her a savings bond?
savings bonds, gift card, story book.
A magazine subscription to baby bug.
Outdoor toys?
Books are always nice.
I like the savings bond idea. Also barrettes, swimsuit for summer, Easter outfit... Jeez this IS difficult...good luck and let us know what you decide.
I would say clothes. Even if she has a sister, it's always nice to put them in new clothes. And a little toy for something new she can play with.
DVD's? That is what I'm telling everyone to get my kids for their 2nd birthday. Baby Einstein is good for 1 year olds. This really is a tough one.
Membership to zoo, children's museum or any other kid friendly destination ( alot of science-type museums are set-up for kids and have toddle areas). Passes to local in-door playparks (Gymboree, etc). A semester of baby and mom music class, gym class, gymnastics, etc. Some really fun kid music cd's for home or car. Good luck!!
Baby Einstein is a good idea, I just purchased some DVDs from them for my youngest. Starting him early at 6mos. They have a good reputation, and it sounds fun! I like the membership idea as well.
I would buy her a new outfit and maybe a Baby Einstein DVD to go with it. My 2nd DD got "shafted" in the clothing area because her older sister and she are only a year apart. Everyone assumed we had tons of clothes. But, sometimes by the time the first kid gets done wearing them, they are too worn or stained for the next. Of course if that's all you have then you use it, but it's always nice to have a brand new outfit. No matter how many *used* outfits you have, a new one is always fun IMO
I totally agree, Robin.
