Skannerz
Does anyone's child have one of these? My kids have been wanting them for quite a while now. I've checked out their website and there is the original and the commander one. There's also a ball of some sort (can't remember the name). Which is better? Just looking for some info before we go out a buy two (one for each). TIA
never heard of them cat, what are they?
We don't have one but both boys asked for one just a couple days ago. I am glad you gave me the real name for it because I couldn't figure out what they were trying to describe. LOL.
I've never heard of them either. Sorry i can't help.
I used to work at a Daycare and this little boy had one. I don't know if he had the original or the commander, but it looked neat. He seemed to love it and his mom said that it kept him busy when they went out.
Both of my boys have them--I'm at work, but I'll get their opinions later and let you know.
I'm pretty sure Bubbels son has one. He brought it last year when he came to visit. It was a pretty cool little toy, he tried to show me how it worked... LOL
Skannerz That's directly to their website. The boys keep seeing the commercials on tv and Randy especially has been asking for one for months. He wanted on for Christmas, but I had no idea at the time what he was talking about. Thanx for the input of the few who know what they are! lol Can't wait to hear what your boys have to say, Pam.
Both of my boys (ages 7 and 10) are saying they would go for the Skannerz Commander, but either one is fun. They said the pros about the Commander are: better technology, you can create your own tribe, you can trade or banish monsters, you can get different types of monsters from the regular version, you can run away from battles. The cons are: if you lose a battle you lose the monster, battles are a lot harder/more complicated, it's hard to earn items (weapons). HTH! My boys always whip out their Skannerz as soon as I get back from the grocery store. It's great motivation for getting them to help bring groceries in from the car. I tell them they don't get to start scanning UPC codes until all of the groceries are in
Thanx, Pam. As soon as dh is done watching his basketball game (funny how the world revolves around sports for him! lol) we're headed out to Wal-Mart to get them for the boys. We're going to go with the Commanders. Unless we get there and the boys would rather have the other, but I don't see that happening. They're searching the house right now for things to scan! Thanx again everyone!
I don't know why but something bugs me about this toy. I am not a fanatic or paranoid, but it seems strange to me that a game would involve our children and bar codes. KWIM?
