My Triple Threat
I know how we just hate to brag on our kids , but since I had this 'triple threat', I thought "Why not?" My soon-to-be 20 yr old ds is about to be inducted into his college's honor society. He's a sophomore Business/Marketing major (switched from pre-med when he realized how much he really hates chemistry). My 18 yr old dd has just been nominated for the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She's a college freshman, majoring in Broadcast Journalism - she's really a baseball fanatic, and decided to make it worth her time and money. She's already used some contacts of ours to get into some FoxSports broadcast rooms and observe live broadcasts. (Maybe all that money for braces we spent will pay off.) My 13 yr old dd has been named to the National Junior Honor Society. She's in 7th grade, still cheerleading and playing soccer. The only thing I don't understand about her and her friends is the time spent spent not only IM'ing the friends she just spoke to at school, but talking to them on the phone *while* they're IM'ing each other. Go figure. It's a brave, new world.
Congrats!! My brother is a freshman majoring in broadcasting also! LOL About the IMing thing...I do that too! My friend will call and we'll just say "hang up and I'll IM you"!
What blessings your children are bringing you! As much as those early day of babyhood and toddlerhood are wonderful, I get such excitement at watching my DD grow up and learning so much! I just love seeing them become their own person.
Congrats!! Brag all you want, you deserve to!! What great kids. And with the Im thing I think thats with all teens these day
Way to go! It sounds like you need a huge celebration in your house!!!
WOW, you've got some smart, impressive children! You deserve to brag all you want! Congratulations LOL at the IMing thing!!
Kay, you should be so proud of your kids! My 14yo dd IM's her friends, but rarely talks on the phone. Even from little on, she wasn't all that interested in the phone. She only talks on the phone when someone calls her and that isn't very often.
You should be so very proud! That's fantastic! My son and his friends talk via Everquest.
Congrats !!!!
You have every right to be proud. WTG mom!! ^5
