We bought a new crock pot and it is called a "cool touch". The base is supposed to be "cool touch". Well it's not! I can't leave my hand on it for longer than 2.5 seconds. Do you think it's a defect? Or did I just fall for something that isn't going to happen?

I took one back for the very same reason, but I noticed my new crockpots seem to get hotter than my old one on the outside. Notbing has happened yet.
