Looking for best deal on DISNEY CRUISE
DH and I are hoping to go on Disney cruise in Dec of this year. I've been searching rates around the internet. How do you know you can trust a site to purchase tickets from? When they list the rate, is that the rate for the entire stay or per night? I know, stupid question. I do know they are listing "per person" and must have 2 people. DH says 7 days is way to long, but I think it would be just right. The 3 or 4 day just sounds like a waste of time when you compare costs. Thanks for any tips on getting the best deal.
Go to www.passporter.com. It is the best guidebook/website I have found. They have a message board there and one section has a travel agent who sounds like she has found some wonderful deals for people. I would highly recommend starting there. And please keep me posted on your plans. This is one vacation we have every intent of doing "someday".
www.disboards.com is a wonderful message board for anything and everything Disney. There is a section for cruise's as well. It helped me plan both of our Disney trips!
Try www.mousesavers.com. It's an honest website that offers discounts on all things Disney. DH and I went to Disney in August and we stayed at a Radison(super nice) and saved $40 a night through that website.
www.disboards.com is an honest website too.
Thanks. I'll be checking them all out.
I have purchased all my cruises through BUYCRUISES.COM I have shopped around and they always have given me the best deal. http://buycruises.com/
Which itinerary are you considering? I have also booked excursions through independant operators (much cheaper than ships excursions) if you need any advice let me know. We cruise every October. We have not done Disney (husband refuses) but have cruised both Carnival and Royal Caribbean.
Yjja, we are looking at the Eastern Bahamas. I think that is how they word it. I really want to do the 7 day trip. I can't imagine taking the time to drive to the east coast only to be on a ship for 3 days. I vacation that *I* won't have to cook or clean! YES, SEVEN days is for me Why won't your hubby do the Disney cruise. With taking DD, it is the only cruise I think I would consider. I can be certain that her day will be full from morning to night. And I feel safe w/ them too. My DH said "DISNEY? Is this trip for us or DD?" I reminded him that if DD is well taken care of, my mind will be at ease and we will have plenty of time for ourselves.
Let me tell you that Carnivals kid program is AWESOME. My kids had a blast. Hubby did not want to to be stuck in Disney world for 7 days. We live in Florida so have never flown to take a cruise. We have done 4 day and 7 day. I would think 7 day is the only way to go if you are traveling to begin with. We liked the shorter cruises when the kids were younger. We started cruising 4 years ago (so my children were ages 4 and 6). We bought my parents a cruise as a Christmas present (they always said cruising wasn't for them) needless to say we got them hooked :o) They have cruised with us every year. Eastern Itinerary. We did St. Thomas, San Juan, St. Maarten and the bahamas last October. Is this what you are considering? San Juan: We did rain forest tour (my children's favorite tour!) St. Maarten: My mom and I and the kids did the Explorer cruise & grand island tour while my husband and dad did the America's cup sailing regatta. St. Thomas: We hired Godfrey tours for a tour of the island and snorkeling in Coki beach Bahamas: We took beach break tour (do not recommend this one!)
Dana, I've checked out the Disney Cruise childcare part pretty well and I feel really safe with them too, We booked ours and will be going in May we are doing the land and sea package so we will be staying at WDW for 4 nights first, then doing the 4 day cruise. I think the 7 day looks great but we wanted to do the parks too. Check out the DIS boards they have tons of info, we booked with Dreams Unlimited which seemed to be a good deal.
