I took Courtney to have her toe stitches removed this morning and they weren't ready yet. It has been 7 days, but they were still a little "juicy". The Dr. said that it would probably be fine to take them out but that it is always a gamble. No gambling here, she goes back on Monday to get them removed. If it were somewhere they could put some butterfly tape on then I would have had them removed today but you can't really do that on the end of a toe! So, one more weekend with gimpy! We've been joking and calling her "Courtney half toe Hilton" She didn't actually lose any of her toe, it's just a great nickname!

Definitely the right decision. Why take a risk of the cut pulling apart. Poor baby!
