As long as I've ever known, we've had the whole president's week off from school. From what I hear though, this is rare. Do others have this off from other parts of the country? We're in upstate NY.

I have never heard of such thing, it was so close to Christmas break! When do your kids get out of school in the summer. Ours gets out about June 3.

Just off today. They get the last two weeks of March off here for spring break. The last day of school this year is May 27th.

Our last day of school is June 22. We always start the Wednesday after Labor Day. We get two days at Thanksgiving, the week of Christmas and New Years, a full week in February, and a full week around Easter time. Plus the usual Columbus day, Martin Luther King day, etc.

My son is in school today, but has off Thursday and Friday for parent/teacher conferences. Our Spring Break is the week of March 15. We get out May 21 and started August 18.

We don't get out until the 3rd week in June. The exact day is yet to be determined, depending on how many snow days we have to make up. We have another week off in April. We start the last week in August.

We had school today and all this week, but are out all of next week for Mardi Gras. Keep in mind that I live in Louisiana . We get the week after Easter off as well and are out of school for summer the last week in May. I can't imagine going to school to mid-late June!! When I was in school we just got off 1 week in March for spring break.

My kids had school today and have it the rest of the week. Spring break is the week of March 15th - March 19th. Then Easter is a 4-day weekend and Memorial Day is a 4-day weekend.

We started the day after Labor Day and I think we go until June 11th. We were off from Christmas from December 23rd until January 5th, so just shy of 2 weeks.

My kids had today off. They get a 4 day weekend for Spring Break which is Easter weekend.
They get out of school the week before Memorial Day this year. Started mid-August....can't remember which day, I want to say the 16th (?) or there abouts.

I'm a teacher in Washington state. Our district gave us a "mid-winter" break last Friday and we had today off for President's Day. It's been a four day weekend for us. I've been working on my Nat'l Board Certification all weekend.....NOT fun.

Wow!!! What lucky people you are all!

We start school in early August...usually around the second week...

We have two weeks off at Christmas and New Year's

Our spring break is the thursday and friday before Easter and the Monday after.

We do not get off at all for Columbus Day or President's Day.

We get out usually around the end of the first week of June to the beginning of the second week.

We are scheduled to get out May 15 which would be great, but we have missed quite a bit for snow, so I don't know what the schedule is now...

Here in NH, we have next week off (23-27)...this week is states like Mass, etc. and it's always crazy with tourists this week of the year, so we wait until the following week to have our vacation...it's been that week for at least the last 8 years or so, as DD has never had school on her Feb. 28th B-Day

we deal with two different school districts in our household hubby a teacher and daughter in hi school ... daughter has monday off ... and hubby has all week off ...we are in california ..

Our kids were supposed to get President's Day off but they had to go to use it as a snow day. We have 2 more snow days that will eat into their Spring break. Poor kids.. NOT!!! (and as of right now, they still will have 3 days off or a 5 day weekend for spring break)

Even through 40 inches of snow, we haven't had a snow day yet! Although, we might have for the last snowstorm, but they ALREADY had off from school!
