My poor kitty and a "fun" visit to the pet ER.......
Poor little Quickie got beat up last night. DH was eating ice cream and I had just gone up to bed. Apparently he was playing with the cat and dog while eating (A food aggressive dog at that!) and he was messing with the cats tail and the cat went to bite him but couldnt reach him so she bit the dog. Usually Nikki (the dog) could care less but since Quickie was around food and thats what was on Nikkis mind, she bit back, only worse! DH brought her up to the room with a bloody nose, sneezing blood and hardly breathing. I said "You need to take her to the E Clinic or she WILL die!" So he took her and I didnt go because Kaitlyn was snoozing away in the room and there was no way i'd wake her. Needless to say, the dog nearly severed Quickies tongue off and she has a puncture wound on her forehead. She didnt eat last night and at all today until I heated up baby food for her and force her to try it then she licked it right up. I have to give this kitty lots of praise because she sure has been through a lot after being thrown out of a car on a highway (thats how we ended up with her) and now this and shes only nearing 6 months old.....
Awww...poor little kitty! You'll have to give her a middle name....maybe "Quickie Lucky" LOL She has been through a lot. Good thing cats have 9 lives
Awwwww, that's so sad!!!!! Poor kitty, for sure! Take good care of her.
Oh no! Poor kitty!
Poor Baby
Oh, poor Quickie! Many HUGS and prayers coming her way.
Awwwww ! Hope she is better soon.
Poor little thing.
Poor cat, she sure won't mess with the dog anymore, huh?
Melissa, try mixing wet cat food with salt-free broth or even a bit of water in your food processor or blender so that it is babyfood texture. The most important thing, of course, is that she not get dehydrated. I hope your husband will never again tease the cat around the combination of food and a food aggressive dog. And I hope he feels a bit guilty.
