Biopsy Results Are In
I just posted a little while ago about how I wasn't going to receive the results until early next week. Well, to my surprise, they called me back today.

I am ecstatic! I have never felt such relief in my life. I feel like I have a whole new life now. Even though I didn't have cancer before, it's just so inspiring, after a cancer scare, to be told that you are fine. Thanks to everyone who kept me in their thoughts and prayers. I *know* that helped. I couldn't ask for better friends! Now I will enjoy my weekend!!! Friday the 13th is my new lucky day 
Now for the story of how I found out today:
As I said in my other post, I called his office and asked his secretary if she knew when the results would be in. Told her I was really anxious and so on. She said that I wouldn't get them till Monday because the doctor wasn't even in today. She also said that the results hadn't been faxed to the office yet. Well, when SHE called back just a few minutes ago, she said that the doctor had called in to check his messages and she told him that I had called and had been concerned about my biopsy. She told him that the results had just came in. He had her read him the results over the phone, and then he said that she could call and tell me the results!! So, she did! It was just an enlarged lymph node with no signs of cancer. She said he would talk with me more about it on Tuesday at my follow-up appointment, but that everything is fine!!!!!!!!
I'm just so ecstatic. Thank you all for going through this with me. It was a huge support to come here and know that you are out there and that you care. (((((hugs))))) for everyone!!!

Here is a picture of me and DS...the girls were playing with the camera and decided that they wanted to take a picture of me with my "big bandaid"....I have to wear it until Tuesday....but I would wear it the rest of my life as long as I'm healthy!!!

Its so weird. I wonder what causes the lymphnodes to even do that? The one on my back was infected.

Thanks! I'm still on such a high from this great news! Yes Ginny, it is so much better knowing that I am healthy. Health is so important. You just don't realize it until it's in jeapordy.

Great news. I know exactly how you feel. I had a hysterectomy in August for suspected ovarian cancer. Thankfully, it wasn't. That is such a great feeling, isn't it!!

I was going to ask the same thing that Annie2 asked....I thought you had blonde hair? When did you change it? I went from blonde to brown/red. I'm much happier. I just didn't like having blonde hair.

My hair was VERY blonde when I was growing up. It got darker as I got older. I kept it blonde up until just a few months ago. Then I died it "chocolate" and I really like it. It's cheaper to buy a box of color from K-mart than to keep getting it highlighted every few months. I posted awhile back about dyeing it....someone else was asking about hair color. I think the only other picture I've ever posted of myself would be from our wedding. It was pretty blonde then.
I hate to post pictures of myself! I don't love the way I look (who does, huh?) but I thought today would be a great day to celebrate, so I posted a picture of the healthy new me

Yes Amy, I forgot about that picture...duh! We were wearing 49ers jackets. My hair was fairly blonde there as well. I'm just getting old and lazy and cheap I guess
