By Marg on Friday, February 13, 2004 - 07:48 am:

I grew up with those horror movies, lol!

I love a good thriller now and then, what's your all time favorite scary/horror movie, if you like that kind of thing?

I have to think, I have a few...

By Ladypeacek on Friday, February 13, 2004 - 08:04 am:

hmmm, i like the psychological thrillers mostly, like silence of the lambs, i like to watch the stuff that could actually happen, not real big on monster type movies, although i did like Freddy, lol. Not too fond of Jason though!!

By Kittycat_26 on Friday, February 13, 2004 - 08:06 am:

You name it and I just love it....

Freddy
Jason
Children of the corn
Jeepers Creepers
Final Destinations
CandyMan

JUst to name a few but if they are out there, I just love them. Ohhhhhhhh I'm getting chills just thinking about them.

By Brandy on Friday, February 13, 2004 - 08:19 am:

I hate all scary movies = )

By Sue3 on Friday, February 13, 2004 - 08:27 am:

I love them alllll !

By Kolbysmom on Friday, February 13, 2004 - 08:38 am:

I'm with Kenna. I love the psych. thrillers. My favorites are Cape Fear, Along Came a Spider and (I'm having a hard time thinking of the title), it has Matthew Maconahey(sp?).

By Pamt on Friday, February 13, 2004 - 09:15 am:

Psychological thrillers only...esp. Alfred Hitchcock. I think Vertigo is my favorite creepy movie.

BTW, my youngest son was born on a Friday the 13th :)

By Bellajoe on Friday, February 13, 2004 - 09:51 am:

Scary movies give me nightmares! I'm a chicken!!

By Ladypeacek on Friday, February 13, 2004 - 09:55 am:

OHHH i love along came a spider, i read all of James Pattersons books, and final destinations was great!

By Mommmie on Friday, February 13, 2004 - 10:29 am:

My son was born on Friday the 13th too - in October of all months!

By Carolk on Friday, February 13, 2004 - 10:50 am:

I love Halloween! Although, I have to watch it during the daytime. If I watch at night, I can't watch by myself or I only get through half of it and I have to turn it off.

By Carolk on Friday, February 13, 2004 - 10:58 am:

Nikki, just saw your post, I think the movie with Matthew M.(i don't know how to spell it either lol) is Frailty. It also stars Bill Paxton.

I also love James Patterson. I just finished his latest Alex Cross book, Big Bad Wolf. Really good book. I also read the Women's murder club books, 1st to die and 2nd chance. I can't wait for the next one, it's titled 3rd degree and comes out March 1st. I went to his website: http://www.twbookmark.com/features/jamespatterson/alexcross.html
and there it was mentioned that they are going to make Roses Are Red into a movie. I can't wait.

By Sue3 on Friday, February 13, 2004 - 10:59 am:

Cape fear is Goood ! I also like the original psycho with Anthony Perkins , also the exorsist ,Lady in White , Don`t look in the basement and the first nightmare on elm street movie...........................................................

By Kolbysmom on Friday, February 13, 2004 - 11:22 am:

Yes, Carol...that's the name of it. It's a REALLY good movie...or at least I thought so.

By Cat on Friday, February 13, 2004 - 12:00 pm:

I loved horror movies as a kid (teen) because we (my brother's and I) would rent them and watch them with my mom in the room. It'd scare the heck out of her! It was fun. *WEG* I'm talking about the Nightmare on Elm Street and ones like that. Now I still enjoy a good thriller, but my taste's have changed a bit. I like Stephen King movies (never as good as the books, but they're good), Silence of the Lambs, Along Came a Spider was GREAT! My mom still can't stand them. :)

By Sunny on Friday, February 13, 2004 - 12:04 pm:

I'll never forget watching Carrie for the first time and seeing the hand coming out of the grave. I must have been 10 or 11 at the time. That was it for me. It turned me off to horror movies. I have seen some others, but only by accident. I wouldn't go out of my way to see them. I guess I'm a chicken too! LOL

By Tklinreston on Friday, February 13, 2004 - 01:15 pm:

I love scary movies, too. Good ones & bad ones. But the all-time scariest for me to watch was THE RING. I couldn't go to sleep at night by myself for a long time because the girl's image was so haunting..... gives me chills just thinking about it.

Joyce, The Ring reminded me of The Others (with Nicole Kidman). I liked them both! :)

By Ginny~moderator on Friday, February 13, 2004 - 07:34 pm:

See my post below under prayers. My son got home about an hour ago and we have killed a bottle of champagne celebrating Friday the 13th.

Good night, all.

By Annie2 on Friday, February 13, 2004 - 08:11 pm:

I hate scary movies so I don't watch too many of them these days. The new thrillers are way too over the top for me. In the Ring, that girl in the closet....I hate that surprise element! The ones that have scared me the most were:

Silence of the Lambs
Hear No Evil, See No Evil
Halloween
Rosemary's Baby
Poltergeist
Amityville Horror

By Dawnk777 on Saturday, February 14, 2004 - 01:18 am:

No horror movies. Way too scary for me. Haven't seen any of them. Never will, either.

By Karen~moderator on Saturday, February 14, 2004 - 09:37 am:

I've always loved scary movies!!!!!

The first year I was married to my X, we watched a marathon of horror movies on cable on Halloween. LOL

By Carolk on Saturday, February 14, 2004 - 10:22 am:

Thanks Kenna, but I have all of his books too. The Beach House is really good.

By Luvn29 on Saturday, February 14, 2004 - 11:47 pm:

I love scary movies! But with my health problems, comes too much adrenaline running through my body at all times because of messed up adrenal glands. It is difficult for me to tolerate any extra adrenaline producing kinds of things. But I still watch them, just have to limit the excitement level, watching through fingers, zoning out a little some, etc.

My first date with my now husband was to see the movie Scream. We love those movies!
