Ideas for chocolate fondue???
Hey guys!!! I've never made chocolate fondue and was just wondering, besides the traditional strawberries and cherries, do you guys have any other ideas for things to dip in it? Or any good recipes for the fondue itself? I'm seriously thinking about getting "The Chocolate Factory" from Wal-mart (as seen on TV).
bananas would be good!
pound cake is good too!
Pineapple is yummy
marshmallows, chunks of caramel, small macaroon cookies. MMmmm, just let me know what time to be at your house!
potato chips pretzels angel food cake dried bananas
potato chips?
yep--don't knock it until you try it
Mmmm, I wouldn't knock anything which contains a potato chip! Or chocolate for that matter.
Mmmmm...such good suggestions. Annie2...You can come right up, but be sure to bring some of that sunshine and warm air! hehe! potato chips....probably kind of like chocolate covered peanuts: salty sweet!
We usually do white chocolate, but one of our favorites with that is Rice Krispie Treats. Yum!
That's a great one, Melanie! All of these yummy ideas are reason enough why I wouldn't buy one of these "fondue factory" appliances!
We are going to buy a fondue pot this weekend. My sister raves about the fun her family has with hers and I remember having fun when we were kids and our mom would make fondue!
Easy Chocolate Fondue 1 pkg cooked style chocolate pudding mix made to pkg directions and served hot in fondue pot. Kiwi and cherries are also good.
I love my fondue pot though rarely use it for chocolate fondue. We have steak fondue every Christmas eve. You can just buy a regular fondue pot instead of the chocolate factory.
We always did cut up bananas, marachino (sp?) cherries, apples, angel food cake (my favorite!), any cookie dipped in chocolate would be good, strawberries, marshmallows... hmmmm, it sounds so yummy! Have fun and enjoy!
We also like dried apricots, mandarin oranges and graham crackers. The girls like to roll their marshmallows or bananas in sprinkles or mini M+M's after they dip it in the chocolate-Yum!
Try Twinkies (cut in thirds), Oreos or mini eclairs. Be sure your fruit is dry. Water and chocolate don't mix. Enjoy!
