Bummed out about Survivor
Rudi is gone. He is my all time favorite Survivor. I wish he would have made it at least a few more episodes. He's a trooper. Now I'm cheering for Rupert
How do you know that??? It hasn't even started for you, Robin!! Are you one of those impatient ones who read message boards beforehand?
LOL Kate....it was on at 7pm. It is after 8:30 now. Nope...I don't check the message boards beforehand....that would ruin all the fun!!
Okay, Robin...I am TERRIBLE at geography, even the USA. I actually got my kids' PUZZLE of America and checked, and I was RIGHT....you should not be in the eastern or central time zones!!!! What's going on?? Why am I so confused?? I admit (and I shouldn't) I thought Utah was way up by Oregon and Washington, which I actually DID know was totally northwest. But still, judging from my PUZZLE, you should at LEAST be mountain time. I'm so glad I'm eastern because I cannot IMAGINE normal shows beginning at seven each night. We have to tape Survivor as it is because the kids aren't in bed until between 8:30 and 9:00. So please explain why Utah is exempt from mountain or pacific times zones....
Is Rudy the 75-year-old?
With only 4 of Saboga left after this council, they needed the strongest members to survive. Rudy just couldn't carry his weight. He won't do badly. He has been kept very busy around here with appearances. I'm sure he'll have many more jobs now. If he was there for the entire time it may have killed him. 75 is awfully old to put your body through that kind of torture.
I understand why they had to vote him off but it saddened me so. I really did like him and although I never really thought he would win...I was hoping he would.
Yes I think we were all sad to see Rudy go. But, there tribe is getting smaller, and Ethan could certain get them further along in the game then Rudy could. Rudy surely was showing his age, and didnt seem as strong as he did when he was on 3 years ago. It seemed like everybody was crying when he left.
Yes I like Rudy to. Did you hear him today on the early show? He has drank some gross water in his day! YUCK!
I think it was obviously sad for everyone. I loved Rudy--he is one of my personal all-time favorites, but I would have voted the same way. And I like Ethan a lot too. Ethan is crucial though if that team is ever to win an immunity challenge. I still don't understand why anyway would pull for Rupert and no one responded to my previous post on the subject (Allstar Survivor post). Explanations please! I really want to know why he still appeals to some after being such a poor whiny loser on the Pearl Islands show. I really do want to understand
LOL Kate....Geography isn't my best subject either We are in the MST zone. (mountain standard time)
Me and my husband were both teary-eyed when rudy got voted off. But we would have done the same thing probably. Pam-Rupert was always so open and honest and seemed to wear his heart on his sleeve. When he was mad he would show it. Last night he had teaars pouring down his face when they were having the discussion whether to pull rudy or ethan. Plus he looked so cute and 'piratey' with his beard and hair. And he was a good fisherman and hard worker, and the team he was on always seemed to win the contests. Plus his little cute skirt!LOL! Need to go have some tea to wake up now!
I was sad to see Rudy go, I think he DESERVES the title Sole Survivor, because he is so tough at 75 yrs old. A lot of 75 yr olds are in nursing homes and he is drinking parasite water, running, and swimming like a mad man! But i do understand why they had to let him go. I would have been very sad if they had let Ethan go.
Pam, I think Rupert's an all around good guy. Yes he was whiny when he was voted off, but most of them are. Did you hear Rudy last night? He said that none of them had better ever come near him, because he was so mad. That was certainly not the way to go out. I would much rather see someone who does the kind of work Rupert does at home, and not making much for his family, win, instead of someone with a great paying job who whines away the whole 39 days. So many of them are like that. He's such a hard worker, and treats the others well. He stayed true to Rudy, and was the only one who did. I really hope he wins.
I feel that Rupert does deserve the title, but I was sad to see Rudy go. He is a survivor after going through so much, and on top of that going on that show at 75! My mother is 73 and is not even close to that health, fitness, or strength level.
Rudy was one of my favorite's also and I hated to see him go but, he wasn't doing good and much more and he might have been in bad shape.
It was sad to see Rudy go. I'm very happy that Rupert stayed true to Rudy. However, that leaves Rupert with no alliances. I'm hoping he'll pull through and win it this time!
