"Good News" Club (at child's school)
Does anyone have a Good News Club at their school? This is something that just started last week at our school (an after school program) it is a children's evangelical club (like Sunday school on Thursday afternoons) I was just wondering if anyone can tell me more about the club, and any experiences (good or bad) that you may have had with them...Justin and Matt attended last week, and they really liked it, but I want to know a little more without interrogating the teacher ;)
Good News Club Never heard of it but that is a link to their main site.
We never had the club at school but there was a Good News Day camp that we had gone to during the summer for a week. It was alot of fun. There were prayers and singing and services. There was also swimming and canoeing and crafts. Gee.......I hope it is still around when Timmy gets old enough.
Amanda, did you go to the one in Waynesboro, at the Teeter's. That's where my nephew went.
Dh is joined to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. And the middle school where he works they have monthly meetings (I was shocked). But he said there are about 16 kids who attend and really love it I know this is a totally different organization, but I was just shocked they held meetings in school. http://www.fca.org/
No But I wish they did.
Marg, that is the one that we went to. I didn't know if it was still there or not. I remember such fun times there.
Marg all the Junior Highs and High schools in my area have the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. DD is a member.
Never heard of the "Good News Club." Just curious though Marg...why were you shocked about FCA meetings? I was in FCA in highschool too. Funny thing though, I wasn't an athlete
Probably because of the whole separation of church and state thing. You know no religion in school...
