After the Super Bowl...... (how many of you noticed this?)

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive February 2004: After the Super Bowl...... (how many of you noticed this?)

I did not watch the game at all. Not even listen to it in background. Figured I'd hear all about it in the morning.

This is the very first time to my knowledge, that I did NOT notice talk galore about the game and who won!

I even only saw one story on the commercials!

So far, with the exception to the posts here at MV, I would have had no clue who won the game. But I do know what Janets boob ring looks like!

How much news have YOU heard about the actual game?

How bout the commercial race? Did you notice as much after game air time spent on commercial comments?

By Bobbie on Monday, February 2, 2004 - 10:15 pm:

Nope it was all about the Boob...

By Insaneusmcwife on Monday, February 2, 2004 - 11:36 pm:

I don't even know who played! I'm way out of the loop. Dh left to go back to Pendleton before it started so I didn't have to watch it. BOOB?????

I am in Houston, we have had more than plenty of talk about the game...lol. Probably took your share! It was one of the greatest super bowl games ever played. What a shame it is all taken away by some tastless entertainment!

By Mommyduncan on Tuesday, February 3, 2004 - 08:46 am:

I agree Kaye. It was a wonderful game, anytime one is decided in the last 4 seconds, it has to be a good game - only too bad the wrong team won, ha-ha!! Sorry Patriot fans!!

I will say, I am very impressed with the comments put out from the NFL regarding the whole half time fiasco. And I don't think they meant just the Boob. I think they were unimpressed by the whole show. The people that MTV was targeting with that whole show were African-American Men in the 18-30 age category. That is not what the majority of American's like.

Oh, and I did hear the Beyonce singing the National Anthem was wonderful. A local sports broadcaster here said he thought it was the best performance of the National Anthem he had ever heard. I didn't get to hear it.
