Feeling crabby!!!!
Well I went to work, for 5 hours today, over did it, first I shoveled our walkway, then the sidewalk, in front of our house, then I went to work, and shoveled more snow, so people could get into the building, then I washed, rinsed, and put a floor finish on the floor, then I had to walk home through all the deep snow, that people did not clear from the sidewalks in front of their house. I think I need a nap!!! either i am physically drained or mentally drained from work, no happy medium. But on the bright side it is Friday!!!
((((Mrse)))) Spring doesn't come soon enough does it? When does spring actually come in your area? If we're lucky it starts in late March, but we always look at April as spring.
{{{Mrse}}} I felt wiped out just from reading your post! LOL! I'm sick of the white stuff myself.
I hate it when people don't shovel. When my oldest daughter was in kindergarten and first grade, we only lived 6 blocks from school. If I walked up there on a warm winter day with the 2yo at the time, I had to take the wagon because no way could I negotiate the stroller through all the unshoveled snow! The same people time after time, wouldn't ever shovel, it seemed. I wondered why they never got in trouble for it.
Feeling a bit better now, that I am into the evening and do not have to go to work tommorrow, I just find that by the time I get to friday, now, that I am just exhausted. Where I work, has just been taken over by another company, and I have so much to learn, about thier system, that it is getting a bit to much. More up to date, system in the office, and different way we clean, I have got so much to learn, but this past week, just feeling like no one really understands what I am trying to get across. Alot of renovations, people coming and going, hard to keep track of what is going on, as before I was in charge, of the whole building and now, I am only told what I " need to know" so that is a little stressful, that I do not have complete control of the situation. I am getting my sister to take pictures with her digtal camera of the place I work, so that you can see, hopefully on monday I can post some pictures, it is a building that was build in 1928 the largest free span log cabin in the world, it is huge, alot of work, but I have managed to keep it clean for 6 years now, on my own . Some of the pressures are taking off now, as I do not do the rental's, and instead of cleaning the floors with a mop and bucket I have a floor machine now, and they actually put this really awesome finish on the floor which makes my job alot more easier, I just love it!!!, it is just getting all the peices to the puzzle together, and knowing exactley what I have to do, which is going to take some time. Not so crabby now, had a wonderful supper that dh made, and my sister came for supper, and we watched some movies. She was in a crabby mood too, vented to me, I vented to her, and all is better now. sister's always make you feel better!
i forgot, to respond , to the above posts, spring is mid march here. It really does not snow that much here, I do not drive at all, in it, I walk or dh will drive me, if he is not working., but mostly it rains, so it is a huge deal if we get snow, lastnight, their was the biggest flakes we had ever seen, and came down real fast, kind of scary. We had a foot of snow, a few weeks back, and basically the whole city, was shut down,no one went anywhere, the city trucks got out and did their thing for the next day. A foot of snow, may not seem like alot to you guys but here, they shut everything down, for saftey concerns. We had 6 inches last night, at my sisters a mile away she had 9 she is closer to the mountain than us. City trucks come and scoop the snow from the city streets and put it into the river. How many inches of snow do you guys get?
We had a good bit in Dec, and now we have a good 14", I don't know what our yearly average is probably somewhere between 30-40". We depend on it for our water supply (we have our own well). I'm glad you're feeling better and I hope you have a good day
Our seasonal average is about 50 inches. December of 2000, we got all that in one month. Then hardly anything after that. The last few winters have been quite wimpy in regards to snowfall and cold weather. We are making up for lost time this year. I have been in snowfalls of 17-18 inches. Don't think more than that from one snowfall. More often snowfalls for a big storm are about 8-9 inches. 13" Snowfall End of December 2000 Snowfall
Here in Maine, *snow country* we are extreemly below what we normally get. I don't know the exact amount, but I think we are somewhere around 24in. +or- a few inches. However,we haven't had snow in quite a while, so we pretty much have a few inches on the ground that hasn't melted. But people are still ice fishing so thats great for my business! I live in the southern part so I know up Maine they must have much more. Weird if you ask me????
