Does any one have a.........
Does anyone have a window, in thier tub/shower area? We put in a New window, dh slipped in the tub while showering and hit the old window with his arm, cut his arm up , so we replaced the window with a non breakable type. My question is, is your window sill, tiled, or is it wood, with a shower curtain over window, or plastic trim? If anyone has a window in thier shower/tub area I would appreciate, knowing. Having a heck of a time, trying to figure out which way to go, not really wanting to cover up my new window with a window shower curtain.
We have wood trim,I painted it. It's up in a position high enough that there is no water damage. However, I keep the fan on so no mold or mildew occurs. For the window, our house sits down off the road, so we got that sticky paper that looks like a heavy frosted glass, and I don't know what it's called, my great aunt first told me about it because I hated this bathroom window and how it is positioned. This allows light in but you can't see through it. I also put up mini blinds which are easy to clean.
We have wood. Not working in our house. I got the plastic window curtain up to protect the wood further.
We have marble sils and we have the paper stuf fon our windows so you cannot see out or in but the light comes through easy too.
We have a window in our bathroom. It has a wood frame. House has been here since 1956 and wood isn't rotted at all. The bathroom doesn't have a fan. Maybe they didn't do that in 1956. I have a matching curtain and shower curtain and there are miniblinds underneath. They are always shut! LOL! My neighbor's house is only about 10 feet away with plenty of windows on that side of their house. Sometimes in the summer, I will open the miniblinds, but leave the curtain shut. We still get plenty of light that way.
You know I think I just might put the wood in, and get the plastic curtain, it would be a whole lot cheaper than doing the tile or plastic trim. Our neihbours are about 10 ft away also, but I bought the window that is obseure (sp). It is a beautiful window, but I guess I can use tye backs to have it open for light when it is not in use, and use the varathane with a color, it has almost a nail polish hardness to it.
