Whatcha doin' this weekend?
Anything exciting and fun? We aren't doing much. My DH has family here from California (they are moving here and are house hunting). So, we will spend most of the weekend over at my inlaws house visiting with them. We finally got a Wal-mart!!!!! It opened on Wednesday (of course we were there), and we will be going over the weekend AGAIN. For a small town, this is really really great news LOL DD(4) has a dance practice tomorrow afternoon and we are getting our taxes done in the morning. So, mostly just a casual weekend for us!
Well dh is still away untill next weekend, but the girls and I are going up to my sisters for a turkey dinner tonight, and the rest of my weekend, will be getting a huge pile of fire wood in the shed, cleaning up the yard, things like that. Not to exciting. But sometime this weekend, I want to just rest, pooped out, from work, I am mentally drained, so maybe we will watch some movies. That is about it. Just me and my girls
Nothing exciting.........haircuts in the morning, shopping for snorkeling equipment in the afternoon, Madison's birthday party on Sunday.....that's the highlight! :-)
Tonight dinner and a movie w/dh, tomorrow dh is taking ds to a local mountain, the USA Luge team will be there and they are giving free Luge (am I spelling that right?) lessons if you buy a lift ticket, so they are snowboarding and lugeing for the day, unless it is way to cold, then they are going to the science museum in Boston, one dd has a slumber party to attend tomorrow night and Sunday is ds's birthday party and oldest dd and I volunteer at a local cat shelter.
Nothing, I made lasagna this afternoon. Dh was called into work Sunday. Dh and older 2 dds may go slot car racing tomorrow afternoon. Otherwise, nothing. But I'm happy, I like those nothing weekends
Dh is coming home for the weekend but probably not til late tonight. A friend of mine from Okinawa just moved here so we will probably have dinner with them so the kids can see each other again. Unless they call in the next hour or so I probably won't be working this weekend so we will spend some much needed family time.
Tomorrow is my sons Birthday party. Its a bowling party. He turned 10 on the 21st. he is very excited.
We are having a family pj/game/movie night tonight. Tomorrow we are cleaning out part of the laundry room so I can have a stamping area. Tomorrow night we are going to a Sunday School Chili Super. Sunday we will go to church and take naps! I love laid back weekends like this!
I am VERY EXCITED about this weekend. For Christmas I bought hubby a Richard Petty Driving Experience. Saturday he is going to drive a race car at Homestead Race Track. Sunday we are going to Lion Country Safari with the kids. We have never been. It is the first weekend my husband has had off in several months so we are going to treat it like a mini vacation. My hubby works 70+ hours a week so this is a well deserved weekend. Yvonne
tonight was dd`s swim practice and my oldest dd had a church youth group get together. Tomorrow is youngest dd`s swim meet in ludington about 2 hours north of here. we will be spending the night at a hotel along with other families from the swim team. The dk`s are very excited and I must begin the packing process , yes , I am procrastinating
It will be a quiet weekend for us. DS (6) has a roller hockey game tomorrow morning. I want to go out to eat at our favorite seafood restaurant tomorrow night. I am in the mood for some scallops. I think dh is playing paint ball on Sunday, so I will probably use that day to get some cleaning done.
Packing up some Christmas decorations-Yes I am really late! Then probably a trip to Home Depot to pick out tiles and some other stuff. And DH wants to go out to eat some where-maybe TGI Fridays, Applebees, Outback? Any suggestions? No plans for Sunday (yet!)
Absolutely nothing as usual we don't have the money too lol.
My son's school is building a Habitat for Humanity House and we are assigned to bring tuna fish sandwiches on Sat. to help feed the workers. Others are bringing other sandwiches, I guess. Hope they don't just have tuna fish! Since we will be close to downtown, we may stop at the Science Place or the World Aquarium before heading back to this part of town. Not much else going on this weekend for us. Laundry and housework, of course, but that's a given.
Hung around home this morning and did laundry, met a friend and 2 of her daughters for lunch with my family at a local pizza place, came home briefly, located missing eyeglasses (11dd) and then went to the theater to see Cheaper by the Dozen with the friend we ate lunch with and her 2 dds. Came home, checked email and went to pick up SIL, so we could go pick up some stuff from Gary's dad's house that had been bagged up from the previous time someone worked on the house. Then came home. It has been snowing here all day and we are going to get yet more this coming week. I think it's time to take some snow pictures. For me, who thought it never would snow, I think we have quite enough now! LOL! It's almost knee-deep in the backyard! I trekked down to the end of the yard to see if the neighbor still had his dog outside, or was the yellow lab actually in the house. With it being so cold, I really didn't want to see Buddy down there. We didn't. Honey was disappointed that she didn't get to rub noses with her friend. She pawed at the cage as if to ask where he was. His kennel is just on the other side of the lot line. Tomorrow, driving to a Barnes and Noble store and see what else Appleton, WI has. I need some new shoes. Maybe that's what I'll buy. It's about 1-1/2 hours away.
We are moving tomorrow!! I'm hoping to get everything moved so we can actually sleep there tomorrow night...should be a busy day.
It's raining now and supposed to all weekend, I think we are just going to slug it.
Last night my friend and I saw Calendar Girls, and went out for a delicious Italian dinner. Today I'm trying to get all our trip pix uploaded to my album. Tomorrow, we'll finally take down our Christmas tree, and go to dinner and to see the play “Oliver” that night.
Dh and ds braved the cold weather and had a blast snowboarding and lugeing (I have no idea if I am spelling this right). Here's a link for any mom's in the northeast that might want to check it out http://adworkshop.com/verizon/index.htm
Still looking for homes this weekend. We really want to find something before the end of January to start the process. We had found a house we loved, but just found out it was already under contract. We(more me) are very very upset, but we must move on..Besides that just relaxing until we have to move and clean..etc. The joys of moving, glad this will be the last time for a long while
Yesterday, we drove 1-1/2 hours to go to a Barnes and Noble store for something different. Sheboygan isn't big enough or cool enough to have one, apparently! This one also has a Starbucks, so DH and I treated ourselves to lattes and the kids had hot chocolate. Today, Sunday, I had to work at the clinic. QUIET afternoon. I couldn't believe it. I don't think I have ever worked a Sunday that was so slow. I was home before 3:30pm. LAst month, I was there until 5pm on my Sunday that I worked. Just hanging out tonight filling out cookie forms, since I'm the troop cookie mom.
