Favorite pancake syrup
I can barely eat a pancake in the morning, I don't know why and I never could. However, if I go to IHOP I can eat their pancakes with blueberries or blueberry syrup (mental thing I guess). So going through the grocery store one day, picking up pancake mix, remember I don't like to eat them, I'm also picking up syrup and notice smucker's makes blueberry syrup. I pick it up, and love it. Still not a big pancake fan, but when I make them at home, I can eat them with everyone else. Oldest dd likes the blueberry also. They have another one, strawberry, but I never tried it. What's your favorite?
We always just bought the traditional Aunt Jermimas. I had never tried anythign else until we met friends in Vermont. Of course Vermont is known for their syrup. I love it! They have all sorts, we brought some home and quickly ran out. We'll have to pay another visit soon to get more!!
We buy Aunt Jemima light. We have for years. I have a recipe that calls for real maple syrup, so we often have that in the house, too, since the recipe only calls for 1/3 cup. It's for a blueberry French toast egg bake. First I just used the Aunt Jemima light and then I tried it with the real maple syrup and I noticed the difference. What disparity, huh?
We also buy the Aunt Jemima light. The original is too strong and makes me shaky. I also occasionally like the Knotts Berry Farms Boysenberry syrup.
100% pure maple syrup. There are a couple of local brands that I buy.
I like Aunt Jemima light too. (I've been buying the store brand light though) My DH likes real maple syrup. The sugar free is not so bad either. Ok, all this pancake talk is making me hungry! ;)
I make my own flavored syrups , blueberry , strawberry , ect. I can them . There are a couple neighbors by me that make their own maple syrup so I usually buy that from them. Now I am hungry for pancake with some heavy syrup ! yum , yum !
I usually buy Mrs. Butterworths-DH's choice, not mine. We also have 100% pure maple syrup but we don't use it every time since it is expensive. If I had my choice I would choose blueberry syrup-we got one at LLBean last year-it was soooo good!
