I am looking for round-trip tickets for DH to fly from Manchester, NH to Charlotte, NC on May 2 returning May 5.....I have used both Expedia and Cheaptickets and get fares ranging from 240-1300 !!!!! It would be cheaper, apparently, for him to leave on Sat instead of Sunday, but he can't for work reasons. Where do you guys find the best airfare deals, and is it better to wait until closer to the date, or purchase way in advance? Is there any benefit to using a "real" travel agent? BTW, he is meeting his sister in Charlotte (she is flying from Colorado) and returning with her, so their flights have to be within a few hours of each other so they can meet up and share the rental car....TIA for any assistance with this
