Worried....
Waiting for DH to arrive home from work. He called at 5:30 telling me he was on his way. He has a 30 minute commute. Called me again at 6:15 saying the roads were very slippery (snow, freezing rain) and no one could make it up a mountain he has to drive over. This means he had to turn around and go the long way. He called again about 15 min. ago to let me know he made it safely off the interstate. I asked how the roads were and he replied, "You don't want to know." Me: "Yes, I DO!" DH: "Probably the worst I have ever driven." Yikes! Times like this I hate his commute and living in New England. Praying he makes it home safely.... Eve, Did J make it home OK??
Oh man i sure hope he's alright that would stink to drive all that way every day here's hopeing he will be home safe and sound very soon!
Any word, Trina?
Nope, not home yet...
Ohhh, I feel for you. DH has a 30-40 minute commute as well, which can be horrible in the winter. ((((Trina)))) Let us know when he arrives.
(((((Trina))))) I hope he's home now.
I hope he is home now. Let us know when he arrives; if he hasn't yet.
I hope he is home now. Let us know when he arrives; if he hasn't yet.
Now, you've got me worried.....is he home yet?
He's HOME!! What a nightmare. He said the roads were absolutely awful. Whew! I feel so much better now. Even the kids were worried and didn't want to go to bed until they knew Daddy was home safely. Thanks for all your prayers and well wishes.
Trina, Hope Dh is O.k.My dh has a 30 min.commute also and it took him an hour to get home tonight. It`s so nerve racking when the weather is bad. They have canceled everything tonight even the public libraries are closed because we have a blizzard warning.40 mile per hour winds. Keep us posted !
Phew!! Glad he made it home safely.
Glad he`s home safe !
Thank God. Thanks for posting that he made it home safely.
Glad he made it home! I was wondering how his commute was going tonight. J was very late too. I think he got home around 8:30pm or maybe later. He took one route and the road was closed! So, he had to turn around and take another, and he said the roads were like a sheet of ice. All this while on a conference call to Japan. Can you say worried?
I'm so glad he made it home just fine = )
My dh came into my work this afternoon, telling me he was on his way to a town about 20 miles away (we have ice and blowing snow on the country roads)--10 minutes later, the fire siren blew, and there was an accident. It turned out to be someone else, but it was awful to wait!
Glad he made it home safely. I'll bet that you hugged him extra tight tonight!
I'm glad he made it home safely. You must have been so worried. When I was in college, I took a bus to and from the university. Since this bus had to make a trip around downtown Milwaukee and then stop every so often between Milwaukee and Waukesha, it usually took about 2 hours to get home. Yes, it was a pain. No wonder I moved into the dorms for the next year. Anyway, one day as I'm standing waiting for the bus that will take me to the bus station, I see a few snowflakes in the air. By the time we reach downtown Milwaukee just a few miles away, it is a full-blown traffic stopping snowstorm. It took forever to get to the bus station, but we finally got there and I got on my homeward bound bus. We still had to make the trip around downtown Milwaukee! Traffic was still horrible. I fell asleep for a while and we were still in downtown Milwaukee. I ended up getting home about 6 hours after I left the east side of Milwaukee. Waukesha is only about 30 miles west of Milwaukee! My then boyfriend was frantic with worry! LOL! He had been with me when I boarded the first bus, so he knew what time I left! I was usually home by about 5 or so! That was my worst bus commute. Ugh.
I read this Trina and I know how you feel, I'm so glad he made it safely!
Trina, I am so glad he got home safe. I can't imagine how worried you and the dks were.
