Yum!
Just tried out the "Friendship Brownie Mix" in-a-jar recipe we're giving to friends and teachers this year. Yum! We'll have to make more! Friendship Brownie Mix in a Jar recipe 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 2/3 cup packed brown sugar 1/3 cup cocoa 1/2 cup vanilla chips 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips 2/3 cup granulated sugar Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Layer the ingredients in a wide-mouth quart jar. Decorate jar and include the following instructions on a gift tag: Friendship Brownie Mix: Combine contents of jar with 3 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 2/3 cup vegetable oil. Pour into greased 9-inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 35 minutes.
Thanks! I'll definitely be using this!
Thanks, Trina. We are going to try this, too!
Sounds yummy!
I bet these look cute! Thanks for sharing. I might try making them.
Forgot to mention... I couldn't find any vanilla chips that were nut free, so I just used 1 cup of chocolate chips. It worked out fine. I happen to have left over holiday/festive fabric from last year that I'm going to use to put on the tops of the jars. I bought it at Wal-Mart for cheap. I printed up business card size tags in Print Shop with fancy paper I had on hand. All I need now is to get some matching yarn or raffia to tie the tags on. If I happen to remember, I'll post a pic of the finished product.
