Life is Good - low-fat, low-calorie yummies I wanted to share ...
I just finished a mug of rich hot chocolate topped with Cool-Whip Free. The chocolate I use is Ghirardelli Double Chocolate. The serving size is 4 tbsp - that's tablespoons! I use 1 tablespoon and it's way too chocolaty. That makes the chocolate part only 35 calories!!! I use fat free milk and the no cal cool whip so it's healthy and yummy and guilt free! Another tasty thing I try and do on a cold day is heat low sodium V8, add some cooked brow rice and I have instant vegetable soup! Really yummy if you add spices to your taste. I also got some frozen berries and had some cool whip free with them. Almost no calories, but really tasty. Any other tasty, quick low-cal -low fat ideas to share? At this time of year, they sure come in handy. Ame
We use sugar free low cal chocolate pudding (mix) and cool whip free to make "sundaes". They are very low cal and taste sinful. We also freeze grapes all the time. We eat them in place of ice cream. They get sugary sweet when they are frozen.
Ame, dd and I tried your yummy soup (V-8 and rice) for lunch today, and we love it! So easy and healthy, and great tasting on a cold, rainy day. Thanks so much for sharing! Nicki
