Our home closed today!
We closed on our house today. It's pretty cool to look at our bank account right now. We don't know what we are going to do though. My position is just temporary so I'm uneasy about buying a home here and DH doesn't have a job yet. The problem is...this place we are renting rents out in the summer as a vacation home for $1200/week so we need to be out by May 31 (the busiest time of year for me). I guess we have a few months to think about it.
Congrats on the sale!! That's a big step in the right direction!
Great news!
Be glad in this moment.. You have time to think about it all after the holidays are over.. I am very glad to hear that things are working there way out. You and your family are together, the house has sold and you have time to decide what to do next. Keep stepping out in faith.. (((Paula)))
Woohoo!
Good for you!!!
YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is such a load off your shoulders. I *highly* recommend that you keep renting and do so until things settle down and someone has a permanent job. We moved 3 times this year but we saved a ton of money and waited until Scott's job was secured and we knew which schools were good, etc. You have to get a feel for the land. I would also recommend joining a chat group for the area and ask around where the good schools are and search for a more permanent job. JMHO Is your DH looking for jobs locally or more near his family?
Thanks everyone. DH did have a temporary job but quit b/c the people he was working with were doing drugs during the day at work and he was transporting them in his truck. It would have been over soon anyway. He has a job interview this week so hopefully something comes out of that. Heidi, it's a small area. There are no chat groups (except the ladies at the local arena) so we just listen. DH is a social butterfly so he is finding out lots of local information.
Yikes about your DH's job. Glad he quit! That's great news about your house Paula. Deep sign and a breath of relief, huh?
