Prayer s needed....very tragic
I just learned today, through our internet prayer circle at church, that the grandson of a member of our congregation dropped dead Friday evening. He was 13 years old. He was at a sporting event, and they had just called his name to come up and receive an award when he collapsed. His aunt told me today that she had been reading about a young 28 year old ball player who collapsed and died the other day. She was reading the article in the newspaper when she got the call. How eerie is that? The child's grandparents are also patients at the office where I work. Please pray for this family. I KNOW first hand what is ahead for them, and the only way that they will get through this is with a lot of prayer. So very sad.
How sad Hol, the family is in my prayers for sure.. So young, so quick.
Will keep them in my prayers.
Oh no! Prayers for the family.
Oh my gosh! What a terrible shame!!! I will keep them in my prayers! Here locally two young girls, sisters 18 and 13 yrs old lost their lives in a horrific car crash the day after Thanksgiving, such a terrible shame with the holidays upon us.
What horrible, sad stories. Makes me want to go hug my kids so tight!! You just never know what's going to happen next.
I'm so sorry, Hol. They'll be in my prayers, for sure.
Thank you all. That is also so sad about those two sisters. It is absolutely horrible at anytime, but at the holidays is even worse. I learned at church this morning that Patrick was his parents' only child, which makes it all the worst. My heart is so burdened for them. I also learned that the sporting event was just part of a Word of Life youth rally that is held every year at the Providence Civic Center, with kids 13 through 18 from churches all over the state. The Providence Bruins hockey team had just finished playing a game, as part of the evening's activities. The family are devout Christians, so I hope that they are comforted by their faith. Pray that this doesn't turn them bitter against God.
Awwww poor people! I don't know what I would do, at a time like that, having God and the church in your life is a blessing. I would be crazy.
So sad !! I just prayed for both of the families.
