1. Ditto on comfy jammies. I'm still in mine, but not for much longer! LOL! It's 11:50 am! 2. Homemade stuffing with homemade whole-wheat bread, apples, craisins, raisins, celery, onions, sage, thyme, and some fresh rosemary! 3. Sweet potato casserole! (I can't wait to eat it!) 4. DH who peeled the potatoes while he was briefly home from work (and also enjoyed some French toast). 5. Kids who quickly whipped up French toast, so we could have a little breakfast, since we were starving and dinner was still hours away! 6. Also, a warm house that has electricity and gas, so we can cook our wonderful meal with a minimum of fuss.

Cute animation, Trina. Our dog really did manage to get some turkey off the table. Little brat! We were putting food away, slowly, but she took advantage of me not watching for just a second!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving!
My kitchen smells so good, from the broth I made from my turkey breast. I have to do it right away, or I never get around to it. I can't wait to make soup on Saturday, since I won't have time tomorrow. I also have goodnews/badnews. The bad news was that the container with the homemade whole-berry cranberry sauce slipped out of my hand and landed on the floor, so we had to throw it out. (dog hair and stuff. ewww.) Emily was sad, because she'd been looking forward to eating it, and dipping her turkey into it. The good news was that DH had insisted on having the jellied cranberry sauce in a can, so we still had that, although, I like the homemade stuff better. So, after Emily is over having a fit about the other cranberry sauce, she asks for "another cranberry solid". Something about that just cracked me up and when I started laughing, she started laughing and pretty soon we were both laughing uncontrollably, to the point where we couldn't talk and explain why we were laughing. It broke the tension of the moment. I think if she'd asked for more sauce, I wouldn't have thought it was so funny, but jellied cranberry is rather solid! The sweet potato casserole and the stuffing were both delicious, too!
Dawn, I also prefer homemade cranberry sauce. My kids didn't understand why until they had canned cranberry sauce for the first time at a relative's house. In fact, I think DS made a similar comment about the consistency, and we all laughed. LOL!
