My nephew who is 11 years old and just started in middle school, starred in the High School's production of Suessical the Musical this weekend! If you have ever seen the show, he was Jojo.
They live in Rochester NY, so we drove 4 hours to see it yesterday and then came back home. I'm glad we did that drive to see him because he was outstanding! I always knew he was a ham and loved music but I had no idea he could sing. To be honest, i was a bit nervous when my sister said he had a few solos. But no worries, he was great! I'm so proud of him.
His twin sister also got to be in the show, she was one of the "Who's". It was really a cute show.

That sounds wonderful! It's always amazing how much those little ones can do. I love going to the musicals that my dd is in twice a year.

Congrats to him! JoJo is my favorite part of Seussical! When the high schools here did Seussical 2 years ago, one of the Jojo's was an 8yo boy. (The other one was a high school girl! LOL!)

The community players just did Seussical for the first play of the season and they had a young boy, too. I love that play! I hope he enjoys it! Some of the kids who were in the community players production were in the high school production 2 years ago, too. A lot of them go to, or used to go the elementary school where I work! It was fun trying to pick them out, but hard, too, since they were in costume. I swear I missed details of the play, because I was looking at their faces too much! LOL!
