Baby's first job, LOL!
Well, my little girl (Okay, so she's a senior in high school....) has her first "real" job! She got a job hostessing (?) at an Italian restaurant. ( Bravo! It's a chain so you may have one near you. Yummy.) Tonight is her first full night of training, where she's actually working at the hostess desk. Why am I so nervous?! I keep thinking I hope she does well, I hope the managers are nice, I hope she doesn't have to deal with any nasty customers, etc. etc.! I'm pathetic. We had to go out last night and get some new clothes. She has to wear all black, and they're kinda picky about what kind of dress pants and shirts you can wear. Ugh. It feels like kindergarten all over again, sending them out into the big, mean, real world! I'm sure she'll do fine, but I need a glass of wine!
Aaaahhh, hostessing is an "easier" first job. It's when she'll have to waitress on packed nights that it will get more difficult! Although, she might be cut out for that kind of job too! Tell her "congrats"! No one ever forgets their first job!
Congrats to her! I would be nervous, too.
mmmm I love their chopped salads!!! I love Bravo!
She had a great night. She said the manager told her she could go home and she wanted to stay longer, LOL. We love Bravo, too, Bellajoe! As part of her training, DD *has* to sample the whole menu. They did salads yesterday, pasta was today. That's the part of the job I would like!
they have to try everything for the people like my dh who say "what's good?" or "what do you recommend?" My favorite is the Diavlo or something like that. It was so good....and it was recommended by the server!
Good luck to her!
That's great! I am of the opinion that a restaraunt job is a great first job it teaches you so many customer, logistic and timing skills! I hope she continues to enjoy it.
